Demit Pintu is a hostile ghost encountered over the haunted school exit door in DreadOut.

Mythology[]
In Asian countries, these hideous guardians are believed to lure and abduct children and adults that have wandered outside their house into an unusual place after the prayer call. According to Indonesian local lore, once someone enters a place guarded by a Demit, they will find themselves in the other side of the mythical world and will not likely be found again. This abominable race usually lives in mountains and cold climates. They may also take shelter in buildings, houses, and any other decrepit structure.
Background[]
Demit Pintu is the same type of ghost as her passageway guarding cousin, Demmit Lorong, but she guards doors instead of passageways.
Demit Pintu guards the exit to the First Sister's exclusionary realm.
Appearance[]
The Demit Pintu is a large pale grey gigantic ghost that only consists of a head and hands. She has long spider-like hands with her wrists bound by chains. She also has stitching on her mouth along with two piercing white eyes. The Demit Pintu also has long dark grey hair and a shadowy spot on her forehead.
Game[]
Act 1[]
The Demit Pintu briefly appears in the cutscene at the end of Act 1 after Linda exits the school, to indicate that she made Linda take the wrong exit.
Act 2[]
The Demit Pintu appears as the first side-boss in the second final boss fight in Act II. During the fight, Linda is transported to a world of complete darkness, with only the Demit Pintu visible.
After Linda defeats the Demit Pintu, she will be transported back to school to face the First Sister again. The Demit Pintu's silhouette will be spotted flashing several times on top of the exit door. If Linda manages to snap a picture of her, the Demit Pintu will vomit and blow maggots, making the surrounding terrain become a swamp of maggots.
Strategy[]
The SLR camera is most useful for this. If the Demit Pintu gets close, run towards her - but keep some distance. She will open her mouth, so quickly run away as she will blow maggots at Linda. While this happens, quickly take a photo of her. Continue this method until the Demit Pintu is defeated, and the player will be transported back to the school.
Trivia[]
- The Demit Pintu can transport Linda into a world of complete darkness, which is inspired by local folklore about Demits having abilities to trap people into the unseen worlds dominated by them.
- Demits are popular traditional ghosts among Javanese people; they are believed to be guarding the most haunted places and locations in Indonesia.
